Sadie’s Orange Salad
1 lg. box orange Jello (or 2 sm. boxes)
12 oz. Cool-Whip
1/3 cup sugar
1 lg. can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
2 cups cold water
1 cup fine-grated cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
In saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar. Bring to boil. Add Jello. Dissolve well. Remove from heat. Add cold water. Pour into a big bowl. Refrigerate until barely set. Add 12 oz. Cool-Whip, nuts, and cheese. Pour into 9 x 13 dish.
