Spaghetti Sauce à la Aileen

- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- ½ cup hot water
- 2 (4 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms, undrained
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- ~ hot cooked spaghetti
Brown ground beef and pork over medium heat in dutch oven or electric skillet. Add celery, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic; cook, stirring 5 min. Add remaining ingredients, except spaghetti, and simmer over low heat 3 to 4 hrs. Serve over hot spaghetti. Yield 10 to 12 servings.
